Keeping track of the distance travelled by your tow vehicle has never been an issue thanks for odometers and trip computers being a standard fit on most cars. However, when it comes to your trailer or caravan it’s a different story.

Not any more thanks to Hummingbird Electronics of the REDARC Group’s latest innovation, the GPS Trailer Odometer. It is a device that can be simply and permanently mounted to any trailer, caravan or camper trailer with the purpose of recording the distance travelled.

The GPS Trailer Odometer is the perfect device for manufacturers, dealerships, rental businesses, service agents and end users who want to improve the maintenance of their trailers.

It incorporates customisable service intervals that allow the user or service agent to set a specified date for a reminder and/or set a specified distance travelled with adjustments between values of 100km, 500km, 1000km and 10,000km. The easy-to-read colour screen notifies the user when a service interval has been reached, an internal buzzer can also provide an audible warning of when the defined distance has been reached. Individual trips can also be recorded via a Trip A or B function.
