The GPS Trip Meter – Elite is used to measure distance accurately with GPS and GLONASS.
It is easy to operate with a full-colour touchscreen and can also display 8 trips simultaneously. It updates three-dimensional distance measurements ten times per second. This is so it can adjust its readings to compensate for elevation.
It features a full-colour touch screen with two trip distances that can be used to count up or down simultaneously and be paused, stopped or reset by either the touch screen or by the external switch provided on the power loom.
The trips can be manually set to count up or down, meaning it's ideal for line marking. In this application, you would set the distance you want between lines and program the button to reset the distance when pressed. The switch being external on the loom makes it easier and safer for the operator to control.
Application
The GPS Trip Meter - Elite is used Australia wide by Australian councils and road maintenance crews to accurately measure the distance of roads that require repair or to manage various assets like road barriers.
If a road or road asset requires maintenance, the operator can accurately record the distance for quoting contractors without having to leave the vehicle. Again, using the button to this time pause/start the reading allows operators to give an accurate quote.
Displaying two readings gives the opportunity to explain the stretch of road in total and the distance of the road that requires attention. It can also be used for logbook purposes where the vehicle is not used for work the majority of the time.
